Policies And Rules

• Enrollment & Commitment: Packages are subscription-based, paid monthly. We request a minimum 3-month commitment for new enrollments (to allow time for progress) – this is common among language schools. After that, you switch or cancel any time with 4 weeks’ notice before the next month. (Cancellation must be in writing/email, as is standard.)

• Payments: Monthly fees are due before the 1st of each month. We accept bank transfer or credit card. Late payment may result in pause of lessons. There are no additional registration or materials fees – everything you need for class, excluding course books, (handouts and online resources) is provided.

• Class Scheduling: Group classes run weekly at fixed times (see schedule below). If a public holiday occurs, that session may be rescheduled or added to the next month.

• Private Lessons: For Active or Professional members, private 1:1 lessons are scheduled individually. You can choose from (morning, mid-day, or early evening) to suit your calendar. Cancellation of a private lesson requires 24 hours notice for a makeup scheduling; otherwise the session is counted as completed. In exceptional cases (business travel, emergencies), we do our best to reschedule missed sessions within the same month.

• Missed Group Classes: If you must miss a group class, you may request a summary of material covered. While we don’t offer a refund for missed classes, we provide exercises or an optional brief catch-up call so you stay on track.

• Class Size & Leveling: Group courses are stopped at 12 participants maximum (often smaller), This ensures that classes don’t become unorganized. New students take a placement test to join the appropriate level group. If at any time a group is too easy or difficult, you can move to an available better-fitting group at no charge if the course.

• Social Event Conduct: Our weekly in-person social events are included for all packages – these are casual, fun meetups to practice English. Drinks/food may be at your own expense if we meet in a café or pub. Basic courtesy and English-only conversation are encouraged during the event.

• Instructor Availability: English Ecke is a boutique single-instructor operation, so each class or lesson is taught by the head teacher (a native speaker). The schedule is carefully managed since only one session can run at a time. We guarantee no double-booking. In the rare case the instructor is ill or unavailable, we will either arrange a make-up class or, if possible, a qualified substitute instructor.

• Holidays & Breaks: We observe major holidays (no classes on public holidays). You can arrange to pause your enrollment (e.g. for a vacation) with advance notice; the month can be credited or extended.

• Payment Pauses and Cancellations: If you decide to discontinue after the minimum period, just provide the required notice (4 weeks). We’ll confirm cancellation and no further payments will be collected. Refunds for partial months are not provided, but you retain access to classes and events until the end of any paid period.
